The Ancient Egyptians Experience Day
The story of Ancient Egypt is vast, complex, and endlessly fascinating. Few facts illustrate this better than the realisation that Cleopatra VII lived closer to the present day than to the building of the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
For centuries, this ancient civilisation has captured imaginations — from its monumental architecture and powerful rulers to its rich belief system and everyday life along the Nile.
In our Ancient Egyptians Experience Day, pupils are guided through this remarkable period by Edward, a passionate Egyptologist who helps them make sense of thousands of years of history in a way that is meaningful, memorable, and accessible for KS2 learners.
Rather than focusing on isolated facts, the day gives pupils a clear sense of scale, chronology, and significance. Children explore where key rulers, monuments, and developments fit within the wider story of Ancient Egypt, helping them understand how the civilisation changed — and endured — over time.
Through guided discussion and role-play, pupils encounter the people behind the pyramids: builders, scribes, priests, and pharaohs. They also explore the gods and goddesses that shaped Egyptian belief, learning how religion influenced daily life, death, and the afterlife.
Throughout the day, learning is reinforced through practical challenges and hands-on activities, allowing pupils to apply what they have discovered in an active, engaging way.

"The interactions with children and the engaging activities for all aspects of the day were great.
We are really happy."

How many children can take part?
Our Ancient Egyptian Experience Day is designed for mainstream KS2 classes, from single-form entry through to four-form entry (approximately 30–120 pupils).
We can accommodate a wide range of group sizes, provided there is:
a clear hall with enough space for movement-based activities
sufficient staffing to support pupils throughout the day
Special Educational Needs (SEN / SEND)
Our experience days are designed to be inclusive, flexible, and engaging.
To ensure all pupils can take part safely, we ask that schools provide the appropriate staffing and any specialist support required for individual needs. As we bring a range of physical props and equipment that are integral to the day, maintaining appropriate supervision is essential.
We have worked successfully with specialist SEND settings and high-needs groups. If your pupils require additional adaptations, we are very happy to discuss this in advance and advise on how we can provide the best possible experience.
What do we need to run the day?
To deliver a high-quality, immersive Stone Age Experience Day, we require:
secure on-site parking
exclusive use of a school hall for the duration of the day
two trestle tables
sufficient staff to remain with pupils throughout the workshop
(These requirements allow us to deliver a safe, structured, and fully interactive full-day experience.)
